Research Activities

My research interests focus on the broad field of Molecular Inorganic Chemistry, with an emphasis on the chemistry of complex compounds of transition metal ions from the first and second transition series and lanthanides.

Research Topics:

  1. Synthesis and magnetic characterization of homo- and heterometallic (3d/4f) complexes of transition metal and/or lanthanide ions bearing organic radicals as bridging ligands.
  2. Synthesis and structural characterization of heterometallic lanthanide (4f-4f') complexes for applications in magnetic and thermal sensors.
  3. Synthesis and characterization of oligomeric structures of porphyrins and transition metal or lanthanide ions with an emphasis on studying their magnetic and electronic properties.
  4. Bioinorganic and Organometallic Chemistry: Synthesis, structure, characterization, and properties (magnetic and catalytic).
