The Library of the Chemistry Department is located on the ground floor of the North Chemistry Building with a gross total area of approximately 500 square meters.

Opening hours
Monday-Friday: 8.00 a.m.-2.30 p.m. The library is closed on public holidays. Borrowers will be notified about opening hours during summer vacation.
Library Loans
All registered students, Academic and administrative staff of the Chemistry Department as well as researchers and other interested parties of the university can borrow books or other materials from the library. Books are on loan for a ten day period. Loans can be renewed. Reference books, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias etc. are not on loan.
As a newly established library, it houses a collection of approximately 3,200 book titles such as: Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Chemical Technology, Foodstuffs Technology, Astronomy, and Mathematics. It also holds a rich collection of doctoral theses since 1964 up to this day and final year diploma theses (since 1997). Recently the library has been enriched with a wide selection of dissertations from the Department's postgraduate programs. Users have also access to dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks and other reference books. The library's collections are classified and graded according to the Dewey decimal classification system. The collection includes 28 journal titles from subscriptions which have been discontinued.
The library's reading room has a seating capacity of 30 persons and 8 PC study spaces which are available to students. Students also have access to a photocopying machine. Photocopies of materials that do not belong to the library's collection are strictly forbidden.
