The Computer Center of the Department is located on the Ground Floor of the North Chemistry Building. It is equipped with 2 UNIX computers (Indy Silicon Graphics) and a large number of PCs of various types and performances. UNIX computers are used for the department's network and provide e-mail and Internet services. The Computer Center also covers research activities. PCs are available to students for workshop exercises, for writing diploma and doctoral theses as well as graphics and figures.
The Library of the Chemistry Department is located on the ground floor of the North Chemistry Building with a gross total area of approximately 500 square meters.

Opening hours Monday-Friday: 8.00 a.m.-2.30 p.m. The library is closed on public holidays. Borrowers will be notified about opening hours during summer vacation.
Library Loans All registered students, Academic and administrative staff of the Chemistry Department as well as researchers and other interested parties of the university can borrow books or other materials from the library. Books are on loan for a ten day period. Loans can be renewed. Reference books, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias etc. are not on loan.
As a newly established library, it houses a collection of approximately 3,200 book titles such as: Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Chemical Technology, Foodstuffs Technology, Astronomy, and Mathematics. It also holds a rich collection of doctoral theses since 1964 up to this day and final year diploma theses (since 1997). Recently the library has been enriched with a wide selection of dissertations from the Department's postgraduate programs. Users have also access to dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks and other reference books. The library's collections are classified and graded according to the Dewey decimal classification system. The collection includes 28 journal titles from subscriptions which have been discontinued.
The library's reading room has a seating capacity of 30 persons and 8 PC study spaces which are available to students. Students also have access to a photocopying machine. Photocopies of materials that do not belong to the library's collection are strictly forbidden.
The Multimedia room is located on the ground floor of the North Chemistry Building. It is equipped with 13 PCs and an IBM RISC 6000 computer terminal. The laboratory is used for Seminars and Workshops. Users have access to a large number of software programs.
The new Multimedia Laboratory, which is equipped with 30 PCs, is located on the first floor of the North Chemistry Building. This laboratory was financed through the EPEAEK II program, entitled "Upgrading of the Undergraduate Study Program of the Chemistry Department".
The Chemistry Department has available a 50 persons Seminars Room, fully equiped with audio and video means, which is located on the ground floor of the North Chemistry Building.
