· Introduction to Organic Chemistry / Mechanisms in Organic Chemistry
· Experimental Organic Chemistry II
· Industrial Organic Products
· Special modules in Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry in Postgraduate Programmes of the Department of Chemistry/University of Patras.
In all the above modules Green Chemistry has been infused.

Research Activities

·Design and synthesis of analogues of biologically active peptides ( mammalian tachykinis, insect neuropeptides) and structure activity studies. The aims of the above research are a) the development of non-opiod drugs for pain relief and b) the development of environmentally friendly insecticides for a sustainable agriculture.
· Isolation and characterization of natural products from plants.
In the above research activities Constantine Poulos had a close and fruitful collaboration with Professor R.Ramage, Head of Chemistry Departments at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and at the University of Edinburgh, the Neuropharmacology Department of Glaxo/U.K., Dr. Paolo Rovero (Intituto di Mutagenesi & Differenziamento, Pisa, Italy), Dr.C.A.Maggi (A.Menarini Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacology Dept., Florence, Italy), Professor of Biology Graham Goldsworthy (Birkbeck College, University of London), Professor Arnold De Loof (Zoological Institute of Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven, Belgium) and Dr. V.Dourtoglou (Vioryl S.A., Athens).
