Research Activities

I Environmental Radioactivity:

-Indoor radon measurements
-Radon measurements in soils and active fault zones; possible relation to earthquake
-Natural and man-made radionuclides in environmental samples (e.g. marine sediments, building materials, minerals, water, soils)

II. Analytical Applications of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Techniques
- Qualitative and quantitative determination of major, minor and trace elements in environmental samples using INAA, PIXE, XRF and ICP-MS.
III. Biomonitoring of sea pollution; emphasis on natural and anthropogenic radioactivity and trace elements.

IV.Sampling and Analysis of Particulate Matter (PM10-PM2.5)
